as of right now, i'm home sick, trying to rest with symptoms that don't like the idea of me sleeping, and a pressure system headache (i.e. "invisible knitting needled through the skull") besides. it was an awful night into morning with unsettling dreams even before the verdict came down. i'm going to do some centering meditations before i turn on the news. i should have done them before i checked in with email, but ben asked me to check in with him as soon as i decided to give up on sleeping for a few hours.
