My 100% curmudgeon status makes that moot for me
though I do get to subtract the 30% sinus headache
for a Tom Waits rating of high tonight low tomorrow and
precipitation is expected

rose-related boons make me extremely happy for very short bursts. or incredibly disappointed, should they go all granny funeral soap on me. which they frequently do. this time they did not. the needle moved back to a predominance of despair, rage, and self-perpetuating weltschmerz as soon as i checked in with the news, though, i promise.

baltimore niece has gallantly taken it upon herself to cleanse vocabulary like 'restful' from our gathering descriptors. fortunately, the tour took her to delaware for friday so that was pretty chill. hope it was good for you, too.

p.s. if sinuses, then precipitation. monsoon season not so much a "season," round these parts. i'm just glad all my retaining walls have been structurally reinforced.
