WE ARE GOING TUBING. AS IN PUTTING GIANT INFLATED TUBES OF LIGHTWEIGHT WATER RESISTANT MATERIAL IN AN ACTUAL RIVER AND FLOATING DOWNSTREAM FOR THE BETTER PART OF AN AFTERNOON. POSSIBLY WHILE SOME OF US DRINK BEER BUT I WILL PROBABLY NOT BE DRINKING BEER BECAUSE I DO NOT LIKE IT TOO MUCH. BUT I WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE WEARING A BIG STUPID LOOKING BRIMMED SUNHAT SO HEY THAT'S FUN. THE DAY WE WILL BE DOING THIS IS JULY THIRD. IT IS THREE DAYS BEFORE BEN'S BIRTHDAY. WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN US, BALTIMORE AREA PEOPLE? IT IS NOT LIKE A REAL SOCIAL COMMITMENT WHERE YOU WILL BE FORCED INTO CLOSE PROXIMITY WITH ANYONE INVOLVED BECAUSE WE'RE ALL COMING IN SEPARATE VEHICLES AND JUST MEETING UP AT A DESIGNATED POINT IN SEMI-WILDERNESS, SO IF I BECOME TOO SELF-INDULGENT OR CONDESCENDING (*cough* sorry, one of them social networking burns repeating on me) ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PADDLE AWAY FROM ME. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND MORE TIME IN CLOSE PROXIMITY WITH BEN AND I, WE MIGHT BE AVAILABLE FOR ICE CREAM OR VEGETARIAN TREATS AFTERWARD I THINK. yeah, i was trying to make peace with the possibility of you not making it. it's okay, we are going to have a bunch of folks from m&j's social circle there, and at least one of them is always really happy to see me and will probably want to chat. i thought that maybe i'd at least take a stab at seeing if we could get a few of our friends out there, too.

not that it's a competition or nothin'.

lol...well. I hope that you do know that if I were closer to you, I would be visiting plenty. I wish it wasn't difficult to get up there and that things were easier to coordinate because I think we'd click.

I found the perfect place today: the right price, townhouse, two bedroom, two bath, but the lady had a cat. Arrgh, allergies. Still looking though. I have to move by spring.

me too. last year tubing happened at the point right before my summer sort of... went (more) icky, so i'm trying to not be superstitious and dread the occasion, but i am a little tiny bit.

oh god. that sounds awesome. i haven't gone tubing since summer camp. i wish i weren't working that day. i'm trying to get together some tiny vacation for the week of july 4th, but the only friend who has a schedule similar to mine has to stick around here that week.
